Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely over Odisha districts during next 2 days; check details – N.F Times


Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of Odisha during the next 48 hours, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD said, “Minimum temperatures observed appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha and Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at one or two places over the districts of Odisha, and normal elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature Forecast: Minimum (night) temperature is likely to rise slightly by 2-3oC at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours and no large change thereafter.

The highest maximum temperature of 29.4°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 7.0°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput in the morning hours.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri and Khurda.

For Sunday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.12.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.12.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Shallow to Moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha in the morning hours.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput and Nabarangpur.
