Balangir (Pawan Agrawal ) : A First Aid Workshop was organized on behalf of Junior Red Cross (JRC) Unit of Up graded High School, Deng, Saintala of Balangir District as to mark the observance of World Firsts Aid Day. The upcoming First Aid Trainer and Junior Red Cross counsellor of Deng Up Graded High School Sj Ram Narayan Dash imparted different valuable training skills to the assembly of villagers and students in the centre of Deng Village. The villagers took active participation through demonstration on the topics called, First Aid, Good Samaritan, Crowd Management, Casualty Management, Recovery Position, Epilepsy, Bleeding and transportation respectively. The elders among villagers opined that learning First Aid and rendering service at emergencies has become the need of the hour to safe precious lives. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Smt. Jemamani Mallik previous Sarpanch of Deng Gram Panchayat and Sj. Gariba Mallik as volunteers. The villagers who attended and supported this programme were Kandarpa Bagarti, Nakula Sahu, Suresh Bagarti, Hara Barik, Lipsa Sahu, Sumati Bagarti , Triveni Jani, Sunita Deep, Namita Sahu, Bhola Shankar Bagarti, Raksan Barik, Manima Barik, Sania Barik and other villagers. The JRC Junior Sunil Rana managed the programme and Junior Ritesh Rana passed vote of thanks to the trainers and learners.
