A Departmental Rajbhasha Pakhwada celebration was held at the New Conference Hall of Ispat General Hospital SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 23rd September. Dr. N P Sahoo, CMO In-charge (M&HS) presided over the function and handed over the awards to the winners of Poster Competition held to mark the occasion. Present on the occasion were Dr. L K Biswal, CMO (M&HS), Dr. S K Tiwari, Deputy CMO(M&HS) and Senior Doctors. The programme was attended by nurses, Nursing Training Institute students and staff of IGH.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sahoo commended the participants of different competitions. He highlighted the initiatives taken by IGH in the promotion of Rajbhasha and encouraged all to further strengthen the efforts in this regard
. On the spot quiz competition was organised with special emphasis on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Individuals with correct answers were also awarded with token gifts.
At the outset Dr. Sonia Joshi, Additional CMO (M&HS) welcome the gathering while Dr. Pushpa Kumari, Additional CMO (M&HS) proposed a formal vote of thanks. The programme was coordinated by Mr. S K Mohanty, Senior Executive Assistant.
