CWSD ORGANIZED BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Balagir, (Pawan Agrawal ): The Child and Women Development Society (CWDS) organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Blood Bank, Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, Balangir. The Prize winner as the Golden Hour Hero from Road and Transport Dept. Govt. of Odisha, Sri Ram Narayan Dash coordinated this camp under the direct supervision of the Chiarperson Major Dr. Kalpana Dash. The Regional Transport Officer(RTO), Balangir Sj. Rajesh Kumar Marandi attended this camp as the Chief guest where as Deputy Collector Sushree Shubhasmita Mishra, Asst. Collector Aditya Dalbehera as the Hon’ble guests. Sometime or the other victim of road side feels the scarcity of blood to be donated to the needy ones. The blood get stored at Blood Bank may be required by any of the patients and the stored blood may save the life of the patient and the RTO Sri Marandi added that we all should come forward to donate blood and save the needy. Usually during summers there is shortage of blood for sickle cell and other patients, so the youth society suggested to take the initiative to overcome the shortage of blood opined the deputy Collector Shubhasmita Mishra.





There is no alternative to blood, as far as donations are concerned, blood donation is the greatest donation, said Sj. Aditya Dalbehera, the Asst. Collector and first donated blood at VBD Camp. 31 people donated blood voluntarily by the members of Child and Women Development Society and other volunteers. The upcoming volunteers Deepaksen Dharua, Antaryami Bariha, Rabichandra Pasayat, Satyanarayan Dash, Duryodhan Pasayat, Durgaprasad Acharya, Sujit Purohit, Ajit Sahu, Sushil Suna, Jayashree Behera, Swagatika Meher, Keshab Sandha respectively extended cooperation the programme. The programme was coordinated by the active member of CWSD Sj.Prabhakara Chhanda and the Dist. Coordinator Chandra Shekhar Seth proposed vote of thanks.
