Damanjodi : During visit of Sri S Prasad, DRM Waltair Division, Eastcoast Railway to Damanjodi on 2nd August 2023 , the Mediahouse members of Damanjodi Media House met him and discussed with him on various issues and handed over a representation. Among other points they have requested to take care some emerging points on priority for action;I.e., Regular halt of Sameleswari express at Damanjodi station, Ceiling and extention of platform no.2, with requiredbfacilities, Make arrangements for installing lift facilities for physically handicapped and aged persons, run a train directly from Damanjodi to Baripada and add more number of boggies in Hirakhand Express. The mediahouse team consisted of Secretary Sri Manas Kar, Vice President Sri S Senapati, Sri C Hontal, Jt. Secretary, Dr. ASHOK k Mohanty, Dr. J Tripathy, Advisor,
Etc. The BJP Unit of Koraput also has demanded similar points. DRM informed that Damanjodi Railway Station has been selected for celebration of Azadki Amrutmahostav on 6th of this month for which lot of face-lift and additional facilities are expected soon. This has generated good deal of enthusiasm among the local mass and officials as some more facilities can be expected by that time.
