Banpur (Corresp.) : A social review meeting and general census of Mahatma Gandhi’s job recruitment scheme has been held under the chairmanship of Khurda Sub-Collecter mr. Diptiranjan Sethi in Banpur Block meeting Hall on Tuesday morning. In the meeting chairperson Amarendra Ransingh, BDO Seetal Agarwal, Manrega Coordinator Jyosnamayee Raut were present and informed about the progress of various works of the past year and reviewed various works. In the said plan, Amrit Sarobar constructed in various Gram Panchayats was displayed through the project under Panchayat Samiti. While a total of 236,000 working days have been created, APO Subhalaxmi Biswal expressed his opinion that 48 percent has already been reached. Additional Horticulture Officer Annapurna Maharna, who was present in the meeting, said that the farmers who are willing to take saplings of various trees like coconut, mango, banana, lemon this year are being provided by the government in the form of subsidy through Aadhaar card only. Advised to take saplings l Informed the meeting that farmers who want to start coconut plantations have insurance benefits in the said plantation process Work done under soil conservation department was reviewed. Sarpanch Galua grampanchayat argued for why not the horticulture dept. not corrrespendent letter to each panchayat for the betterment of information to the farmers.President of the said meeting instructed the officer letter should be intemate to every panchayat to be maintain sincerely. Seetal Agarwal gave priority to speedy completion of the projects under Mahatma Gandhi Guaranteed Employment Scheme. Sarpanch, Samiti Savya, Junior Engineer, Panchayat Executive Officer and GRS were present.
