Odisha CM inaugurates Netaji Bus Terminal in Cuttack – N.F Times

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated Netaji Bus Terminal in Odisha’s Cuttack city.

The state government has constructed the bus terminal on around 15 acres of land at Khannagar on the banks of Kathajodi river in the Silver City with an expenditure of Rs 90 crore.

The Chief Minister had laid the foundation stone for Netaji Bus Terminal on the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 23, 2021.

The terminal has been equipped with all modern facilities including bus bays and designated parking place for hassle-free movement of passengers.

As many as 190 buses, including 52 long journey buses and 20 Mo Buses, can be parked at the terminal.

The terminal has a three-storey main building with elevated concourse, large waiting halls, executive lounges, space for business meetings and three dedicated elevators for passengers.

Two separate air-conditioned dormitories for men and women passengers have been set up at the terminal. The dormitories can accommodate 120 passengers.

The first state-of-the-art air-conditioned Aahaar (cheap meal) centre has also come up at Netaji Bus Terminal.

As many as 1,000 people can dine at the Aahaar centre at a time. The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has spent Rs 1.8 crore for the purpose. Besides, the terminal has three restaurants for the passengers.
