Man hacks infant son to death, wife critical in Odisha’s Sundargarh – N.F Times

Sources said the accused hacked his one and half year old son to death with an axe and attacked his wife after losing his temper over suspected family dispute.


Rourkela: Police have arrested a man for allegedly hacking his infant son to death and attacking his wife along with two other neighbours in Rourkela in Odisha’s Sundargarh district here today.

The accused was identified as Budheswar Singh of Lunagadha slum of Garjan panchayat within Brahmani Tarang police limits.

His wife Pramila along with neighbours Laki Kumbhar and Ghasi Kisan have been admitted to Rourkela government hospital in a critical state.

Sources said the accused hacked his one and half year old son to death with an axe and attacked his wife after losing his temper over suspected family dispute.

Police have seized the weapon used in the crime and seized the child’s body for postmortem. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
