Cyclone likely to form over Bay of Bengal after November 29: IMD – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic storm is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal after November 29, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted today.

“A low pressure area formed over south Andaman Sea and adjoining Malacca Strait today. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over southeast Bay of Bengal around November 29,” the IMD said.

The system is likely to move northwestwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm over southeast Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 48 hours, the agency said.
