Boipariguda: A team of Vigilance sleuths intercepted Boipariguda police station IIC identified as Sushant Kumar Satpathy at a place near Tankua locality in Jeypore town of Koraput district, when he was on his way by private bus to his permanent resident in Cuttack City, today evening.
Satpathy was carrying cash of Rs 2 lakh with him, which was later seized by the team from his possession as he could not account for satisfactorily. Vigilance suspects the money to be ill-gotten.
The IIC has been detained and a probe initiated. He is being questioned in this connection.
Detailed investigation was underway till the time when this report was filed.
