Cyclone MICHAUNG: Schools in Odisha’s Gajapati to remain closed tomorrow – N.F Times

Bhubaneswar: All the primary schools, upper primary schools, high schools and Anganwadi centres in Odisha’s Gajapati district will remain closed tomorrow (December 6) in view of Cyclone MICHAUNG.

The Office of the Collector has issued a notification in this regard.

Several parts of Odisha are likely to receive heavy rainfall as Cyclone MICHAUNG will make landfall today.

The Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued Orange and Yellow Warnings for various districts in this connection.

Below is day-wise forecast for Odisha.

December 5: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Ganjam (Orange Warning).

Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Puri (Yellow Warning).

December 6: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada (Yellow Warning).
