‘Nimantran’ restaurant opens in Odisha’s Sambalpur – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) today opened the third restaurant of Nimantran chain at Rani Bakhri in Sambalpur.

Tourism Minister Ashwini Kumar Patra inaugurated the Nimantran restaurant at 17th century Rani Bakhri, popularly known as Queen’s Palace, in Sambalpur.

OTDC Chairperson Lenin Mohanty, Sambalpur Zilla Parishad President Kumodini Nayak, Sambalpur Collector Ananya Das, Sambalpur Municipal Commissioner Vedbhushan and Sambalpur Additional District Magistrate Pradeep Kumar Sahu among others were present on the occasion.

The OTDC had earlier opened two Nimantran restaurants in the Odisha capital here and the Holy Town of Puri to serve authentic Odia cuisines to visitors as well as local residents.

The first Nimantran restaurant had been opened in the Odisha capital here in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik a few years ago.

“The newly-opened Nimantran restaurant in Sambalpur will definitely boost tourism in the district. The restaurant will serve popular cuisines from various districts of the state,” said the OTDC Chairperson.

The Nimantran chain of restaurants will be managed by a dedicated wing of the OTDC. A special menu has been planned by some prominent chefs to serve Odia cuisines at the restaurants, he added.
