Yellow Warning: IMD forecasts dense fog over these Odisha districts on December 28 – N.F Times


Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over at least 21 districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “Minimum temperatures observed appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were appreciably below normal at one or two places, markedly above normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of Odisha, above normal at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

The highest maximum temperature of 30.2°C was recorded at Bhubaneswar and Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 10.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

For Wednesday (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 28.12.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Koraput.

For Thursday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.12.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 29.12.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
