Bhubaneswar: Odisha-Mo Parivar has collected as many as 1 lakh units of blood under the Jeevan Bindu Programme this year.
Odisha-Mo Parivar has collected the blood by organizing blood donation camps across the state throughout the year, said a release issued by the outfit today.
The outfit had launched the Jeevan Bindu programme on August 9, 2020 to collect blood through organizing donation camps in the state. Since then, it has been organizing blood donation camps at various places of the state on regular intervals.
“The Jeevan Bindu programme had been launched under the guidance of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The prime objective of this programme is to arrange blood for the blood banks in Odisha to save the lives of the needy people,” said the outfit.
Since its formation, the Odisha-Mo Parivar has been working for the welfare of 4.5 crore people of Odisha. It has been providing assistance to patients at various hospitals across the state and extending a helping hand to distressed people, it added.
The outfit has thanked the workers and leaders of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for successful orgnisation of blood donation camps across the state.
