Bhubaneswar: With Sunil Bansal all set to retire as the DGP in Odisha, the State government appointed IPS Officer Arun Sarangi as the additional charge of Director General of Odisha Police.
The 1990-batch Odisha cadre IPS Officer presently serves as the Special DG of Police, Training & Director of BPSPA.
The appointment came amid speculations rife over the coveted post in Odisha Police ahead of Bansal’s retirement as the DGP. Bansal’s tenure as the DGP is scheduled to end on December 31, 2023.
