Harihar Jor added to Odisha’s eco-tourism list – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: Harihar Jor in Sonepur district was today added to the list of places having eco-tourism facility in Odisha.

The eco-tourism project at Harihar Jor dam under Sonepur Forest Division was inaugurated by Regional Chief Conservator of Forest (RCCF) Ashwini Kar and Collector Bimalendu Ray today, said an official of the Forest department.

The eco-tourism project at Harihar Jor has boating facility, rest room, picnic spot, toilets and parking lot for the tourists, added the official.

The management of the Harihar Jor eco-tourism project has been entrusted with the Khajuriapali Vana Surakhya Samiti, he said.

Notably, the state government had earlier set up eco-tourism projects at 33 places across Odisha. Some of the prominent places having eco-tourism facility are Bhitarkanika, Similipal, Satakosia, Debrigarh, Chilika, Daringbadi, Chandaka, Khandadhar, Olasuni, Ansupa, Tensa, Chitrakonda and Ghodahada.
