Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of Odisha during the next 72 hours, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “Minimum temperatures observed no large change over the districts of Odisha. They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, below normal at one or two places over the districts of Odisha, markedly above normal at one or two places, appreciably above normal at a few places, above normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”
Temperature forecast: No major change in Minimum (night) temperature over the districts of Odisha during next five days. It is likely to be above normal by 2oC to 3oC at many places over the districts of Odisha during the same period.
The highest maximum (day) temperature of 30.0°C was recorded at Rayagada and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 10.0°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Subarnapur, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
