Bhubaneswar: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Odisha today announced the final voters’ list for the state for the year 2024.
CEO, Odisha Nikunja Bihari Dhal made this announcement after completion of the special summary revision (SSR) of the electoral rolls for the year 2024.
According to the CEO, Odisha has altogether 3,32,36,360 voters, of which 1,68,50, 949 are male and 1,63, 82,031 are female.
The state has altogether 4,57,821 person with disabilities (PwDs) voters and 3,380 transgender voters, revealed the CEO.
As many as 12,97, 954 new voters were added to the list in Odisha during the SSR for the year 2024.
On the other hand, the names of at least 7,16, 807 people were deleted from the voters’ list in the state.
According to the CEO, the state has 7,54,946 young voters (18-19 years) and 6, 85, 048 senior citizen voters.
Around 2.27 per cent voters are in the age group of 18-19 years while 2.06 per cent voters are of 80 years or above, said the CEO.
The gender ratio as per the revised electoral rolls in Odisha stands at 972, which is the highest in last five years, added the CEO.
