Odisha woman attacks parents with ‘paniki’ as they rebuke her for talking on mobile phone – N.F Times



Balasore: A woman allegedly attacked her parents with ‘paniki’ (a type of kitchen knife) at Hatigadia village under Soro police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district after they rebuked her for talking on mobile phone.

As per reports, Kuni Singh (20) was talking on her mobile phone last night during dinner time. As her mother Buduni Singh (32) asked her to leave the mobile phone and have food, she became furious.

The incident turned violent as Kuni attacked her mother with a ‘paniki’, leaving the victim critically injured.

Kuni’s father Ranjit Singh (38) also sustained critical injuries when he tried to save his wife from the attack.

The two were rescued and rushed to Soro Hospital for treatment. Ranjit was later shifted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital as his condition deteriorated.

Police have detained the accused and started investigation into the matter.
