Bhubaneswar: Former Member of Parliament from Odisha Anadi Sahu passed away at his residence in Cuttack city in Odisha, family informed today.
Sahu was 83. The former IPS Officer was elected to the Lok Sabha from Berhampur Parliamentary Constituency on a BJP ticket in the year 1999.
According to reports, Anandi Sahu had resigned from his service and contested from Cuttack Lok Sabha seat in the 1996 general elections as a Congress candidate against former Chief Minister late Biju Patnaik. However, he lost the poll by 57,807 votes.
