Bhubaneswar: The body of a newborn baby was found near a busy road in Odisha capital here today.
The body, stuffed in a gunny bag, was found dumped in a bush along the National Highway-16 near Rasulgarh in the capital city, sources said.
A passerby spotted the body in the afternoon and informed the locals. Later, the body was recovered from the gunny bag, sources added.
“Someone might have stuffed the baby into the gunny bag and dumped it in the bush along the NH-16 soon after its birth. The newborn might have died inside the bag,” said a local.
