Nayagarh: A head-on collision between a picnic bus and a truck near Buguda under Daspalla police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district killed three girl students and left more than 10 students injured on Friday night.
As per reports, the accident took place when a bus carrying around 50 students of a Daspalla-based coaching centre was heading towards Harishankar in Balangir district for picnic.
While the three students died under the impact of the collision, the injured ones were rescued and hospitalized for treatment.
The deceased were identified as Chinmayee Priyadarshini, Amrita Sahu and Lopamudra Pradhan.
The local police have stated an investigation into the incident.
