Bhubaneswar: The Air Quality Index (AQI) of some major cities and towns in Odisha witnessed a ‘poor’ AQI rating, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) sources said today. Angul recorded a ‘very poor’ air quality with an index value of 370 and major pollutant found was PM2.5.
This was followed by Balasore (air quality-poor, index value-290, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Barbil (air quality-poor, index value-242, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Baripada (air quality-moderate, index value-186, and major pollutant found-PM10), Bhubaneswar (air quality-poor, index value-269, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Brajarajnagar (air quality-moderate, index value-132, and major pollutant found-PM10), Cuttack (air quality-poor, index value-291, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Keonjhar (air quality-poor, index value-245, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Rairangpur (air quality-moderate, index value-142, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Rourkela (air quality-poor, index value-212, and major pollutant found-PM2.5) and Talcher (air quality-poor, index value-265, and major pollutant found-PM2.5).
