Odisha to get lion’s share of fund allocation under ‘Vikshit Bharat’: Union Minister Pradhan on Budget 2024 – N.F Times

Bhubaneswar: Odisha will get a major share of fund allocation under proposed financial plans of ‘Vikshit Bharat’, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said today giving his views on the Union Interim Budget 2024-25.

Union Budget 2024 is a reflection of the Central government’s all-round, all-embracive, and all-inclusive development programmes. This Budget will be a giant launching pad for creating a developed India. Welfare and wealth creation will go hand-in-hand in a balanced manner, which has been echoed in the budget. The budget was placed by giving priority to the welfare of youth, women, farmers, and poor as well as downtrodden people, the Union Minister expressed.

Interest-free loans will be provided for a period of up to 50 years under the Jai Anusandhan scheme. A corpus fund of Rs 1 lakh crore, announced in the budget, will be the biggest game-changer in the future. National Education Policy (NEP) will be successfully implemented and the aims, and aspirations of youngsters will be fulfilled through adequate enticement to PM Shri School, Education, and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship sectors, the Union Minister said.

Around 2 crore new houses will be included under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana in five years. The Central government has plans to introduce three special corridors (such as Energy, Minerals, and Cement) in the railway sector.

“A roadmap has been prepared to achieve the target of a ‘developed India’ by 2047. Modi Government is working to fulfill this goal based on the idea of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Bikash, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’,” Union Minister Pradhan stated.

“I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Ji for placing a people-oriented, developmental and epoch-making budget,” the Union Minister added.
