Bhubaneswar: The Air Quality Index (AQI) of two towns in Odisha witnessed a ‘poor’ AQI rating, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) sources said today.
Angul recorded a ‘poor’ air quality with an index value of 232 and major pollutant found was PM2.5. This was followed by Balasore (air quality-moderate, index value-116, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Barbil (air quality-moderate, index value-156, and major pollutant found-O3), Baripada (air quality-poor, index value-228, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Bhubaneswar (air quality-moderate, index value-115, and major pollutant found-O3, PM2.5), Brajrajnagar (air quality-moderate, index value-129, and major pollutant found-NO2), Cuttack (air quality-moderate, index value-106, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Keonjhar (air quality-moderate, index value-116, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Nayagarh (air quality-moderate, index value-124, and major pollutant found-PM2.5), Rairangpur (air quality-moderate, index value-107, and major pollutant found-PM10) and Rourkela (air quality-moderate, index value-162, and major pollutant found-PM2.5).
