Two women Maoists surrender in Odisha – N.F Times



Boudh: Two women Maoists surrendered before Odisha Police to join the mainstream, informed IGP (Southern Range) Jai Narayan Pankaj.

The two surrendered Maoists were Manisha Thati and Champa Koram of the Bijapur district in neighbouring state of Chhattisgarh. They were associated with the Kandhamal-Kalahandi-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) division of the CPI (Maoist).

The duo was active members of the red rebel outfit for the last five years.

The KKBN Maoist division has been active in Boudh and Kandhamal areas in the past six months. During the period, several fire exchanges have taken place between the Maoists and security personnel in the region, the IGP said.
