Bhubaneswar: The three-day Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) concluded at Eco Retreat Konark today.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had virtually inaugurated the fifth Odisha Travel Bazaar on February 7.
Structured meetings between at least 55 foreign tour operators (FTOs) and around 50 sellers from Odisha took place on the concluding day of the Travel Bazaar, said an official of the Tourism department.
The FTOs were from 16 countries across the Globe including Belgium, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and Vietnam, he added.
The third day of OTB was marked by insightful discussions, networking opportunities and showcasing of Odisha’s diverse tourism potential to promote these destinations to potential travelers, said the official.
The state government will facilitate familiarization (FAM) trips for the FTOs to provide them with firsthand experience of Odisha’s natural beauty, biodiversity and unique tourism experiences.
The FTOs will be taken on FAM trips to Raghurajpur and Pipli in Puri district, Dhauli Shanti Stupa in Bhubaneswar, Eco Retreat Satkosia and Bhitarkanika in Kendrapara, added the official.
