Commissionerate Police issues helpline number to prevent street crime in Odisha’s Cuttack – N.F Times

Cuttack: Commissionerate Police-Cuttack has issued a helpline number to prevent street crime for the convenience of the city residents. The Street Crime Prevention and Detection Unit (SCPDU) of Cuttack Police will remain alert 24×7 to help the public out at the time of exigencies.

The direct mobile helpline number is 7978894405.

According to an official source, the SCPDU helpline number has been launched in Cuttack urban police district (UPD). It will function in addition to the existing Control Room Number 112.

Street Crime includes any information on the movement of anti-socials, miscreants, public consumption of liquor, and any incident of snatching, etc. Cuttack residents can call or send WhatsApp messages on any Street crime-related issues, which will be directly received in the control room.

Police will contact the caller within 15 minutes and ensure prompt action along with logical disposal of the complaint within 24 hours. All calls made on this number will be reviewed daily by Additional DCP-Crime of Cuttack UPD Anil Mishra.

Notably, in case any complaint is not resolved within 24 hours, complainants can contact the Additional DCP-Crime or DCP Cuttack directly.
