Balangir ( Pawan Agrawal ) : Blood Donation activity is being of prime importance and the need of the hour to help support the survival of road accident victims and patient going for operation . Red Cross Volunteers are striving to save life of Humanity. Keeping in view the above concept the Junior Red Cross Unit of Harbhanga Upper Primary Schools got involved the youths and organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Blood Bank, Balangir. The Headmaster Sri Duryodhan Pasayat presided over the activities implemented in the camp. The Emergency Officer-cum-Secretary,IRCS, Balangir Sasmita Pradhan attended the camp as the Chief Guest. The other Honorable guests who attended the camp were District Sports Officer, Sj. Parashar Bag, the District Information and Public Relation Officer, Balangir Sj. Saroj Kumar Sahu, Social Activist Sj Anil Modi, the senior Reporter Sj. Ranjit Behera, the Junior Red Cross Officer, Sonepur Sj. Rabichandra Pasayat respectively and persuaded the donors to show gesture of Humanity by donating Blood, the gift of Life. 32 Units of Blood were drawn from the young and upcoming donors. The Junior Red Cross Resource Person Tapaswini Dash, Teacher Raghunath Sarangi, State Awardee Teacher Bharati Pattnaik, Rakshak Resource Person Ashis Naik, Prabhakar Chhand, Sanjib Dash, Alumni Member Amiya Nanda, Volunteer Ashutosh Barik, Debashik Barik, Pragyan Dash, HM, Kasturaba School, Loisingha Sj. Sanjib Dash, Biswaraup Naik, Lokanath Puta respectively. The Blood Bank Employee Ranjan Barad,Durgaprasad Acharya, Keshab Sandh, Swagatika Raul, Jyotirmayee Naik, Paramananda Kuanr, Debendra Nanda, Sujit Purohit, Akshya Bag were present in the camp. The District Secretary, Primary School Teacher Union Sj. Harekrishna Ratha, Social Worker Akula Behera, Nakul Padhan, Dipak Pasayat, Debakanta Meher, Basanta Budek extended support in the Camp. The State Awardee Social Worker Teacher Sj. Ram Narayan Dash passed vote of thanks to the panel of guests and donors.
