Bhubaneswar: A Titanium Metal & Aerospace Components Manufacturing, and Integrated Advanced Specialty Steel and Automotive Components Manufacturing Complex will be set up in Odisha.
In this regard, Kalyani Steel signed an MoU with Odisha Government in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Lok Seva Bhawan here today.
The partnership with Kalyani Steel aims to set up a comprehensive manufacturing complex at Gajamara in Dhenkanal district. With an investment of Rs 11,750 Crore, the project will generate over 10,000 jobs in Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Naveen Patnaik expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration, emphasizing its alignment with the state’s vision to seize opportunities in emerging sectors, leading to the creation of high-skill jobs.
“By welcoming Kalyani Steel’s project, including a Titanium Metal and Alloy Mill, an Aerospace Components Facility, and an Integrated Automotive Component Unit, Odisha marks its grand entry into a highly advanced and precision manufacturing sector. With an investment of Rs 11,751 crore, this venture is set to revolutionize our industrial landscape, providing over 10,000 job opportunities in highly skill-oriented trades. This project is a perfect match for our aspirations for creating an ecosystem conducive to new-age industries,” Patnaik said.
“This project will also catalyse the growth of MSMEs, spurring the development of a vibrant ecosystem of ancillary industries and OEM suppliers, providing many more employment opportunities. Therefore, this project is a perfect match for our aspirations for creating an ecosystem conducive to new-age industries,” he added.
Emphasizing the importance of skill development, the Chief Minister remarked, “Kalyani Steel’s commitment to skill development will result in widespread advantages, enhancing the capabilities of the local workforce in advanced manufacturing sectors such as metal downstream, automotive, and defence manufacturing.”
Kalyani Steels Limited Director Amit Kalyani described the project as a milestone in long-lasting relationship with Odisha.
