Bhubaneswar: With a trough now running from Chhattisgarh to North Tamil Nadu across Vidarbha and Interior Karnataka, rainfall and thundershower activities are very likely in Odisha districts till 0830 hrs IST of February 29, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre forecasted today.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD centre mentioned, “Minimum temperatures observed marked rise at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, markedly above normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at a few places and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”
Temperature forecast: No major change is likely in the minimum (night) temperature at many places over the districts of Odisha during next four to five days.
The highest maximum temperature of 35.0°C was recorded at Malkangiri and Titilagarh and the lowest minimum temperature of 15.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Odisha, Subarnapur, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam and at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
For Monday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 27.02.2024)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Subarnapur, Angul, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
