Light to moderate rain, thundershowers very likely in these Odisha districts till March 10 – N.F Times


Bhubaneswar: With a cyclonic circulation over south Odisha & neighbourhood persisting and seen at 0.9 Km above mean sea level, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over some Odisha districts till 0830 hrs IST of March 10, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD centre said, “Maximum temperatures observed appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of North Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were above normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: No large change is likely in both the maximum (day) temperature and minimum (night) temperature at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next four days. Maximum is very likely to rise gradually by 3-4°C in the subsequent three days at many places over the districts of Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 38.0°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 16.2°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.

For Thursday (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 08.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara and at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For Friday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 09.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
