Fresh spell of rain, thundershowers likely in these Odisha districts from March 14 – N.F Times

Bhubaneswar: With a cyclonic circulation lying over south Odisha & neighbourhood and the trough from north Odisha to north Coastal Andhra Pradesh becoming less marked, light rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places over some districts of Odisha, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD centre said, “Maximum temperatures observed marked rise at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of North Odisha, appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha & Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were markedly below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably below normal at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, below normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: Maximum (day) temperature is likely to gradually rise by 4-6°C during next 3 to 4 days and no large change thereafter. Minimum (night) temperature is likely to rise by 2-4°C during next 3 days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 37.4°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 14.9°C was recorded at Rourkela in the plains of Odisha.

For Saturday (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 10.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam and at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Nuapada and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For Sunday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.03.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
