Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience heatwave conditions from April 1, said Uma Shankar Das, Scientist, IMD Bhubaneswar.
Maximum temperature is likely to reach 35-37 degree Celsius in coastal Odisha while the figure may touch 35-39 degree Celsius in interior Odisha. After three days, maximum temperature may hit 40 degree Celsius in some areas, said Das.
As per the Regional Meteorological Centre here, there will be gradual rise in maximum temperature (day temperature) by 2-4 degree Celsius during the next three days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.
Minimum temperature (night temperature) may gradually rise by 2-3 degree Celsius during the next 2-3 days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha, the Meteorological Centre predicted.
