Bhubaneswar: Prominent tribal leader George Tirkey’s son Rohit Joseph Tirkey joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), today.
He joined the BJD at the Sankha Bhawan here.
Rohit was earlier in the Congress party.
He had unsuccessfully contested the 2019 Assembly polls in Odisha from the Biramitrapur constituency on a Congress ticket.
He had received a total of 44212 votes.
