NDA committed to principle of ‘nation first’, says Modi – N.F Times


 

Delhi: Narendra Modi said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is not a collection of parties just to form the government. This is an alliance that puts “nation first, he said. “NDA not a grouping of parties that have come together for power; it’s an organic alliance committed to the principle of ‘nation first’,” Modi said.

“Our alliance represents the soul of India… Pre-poll alliances have never been as successful as the NDA,” Modi said during the NDA meeting held at the Central Hall of Parliament.

He said the government can be run with a majority of numbers. But to run the nation, the government needs unequivocal support from everyone. “NDA govt in next 10 years will focus on good governance, development, minimum interference in lives of common citizens,” he said.

Modi said that his third government will run We on the principle of ‘sarva panth sambhava (all religions are equal)’.

“Democracy has given us governments in 22 states to serve the people… I congratulate all leaders who have won; I also salute those who tirelessly worked on the ground to ensure this victory… It is a matter of happiness that I have got the opportunity to welcome such a big group here. Those who have emerged victorious, they all deserve praise. But, those lakhs of workers worked hard day and night, and workers of each and every party… the efforts made by them… I bow to them,” he said.

He further said: “There are 10 states in our country where the number of our tribal brothers is decisively high, NDA is serving in 7 out of these 10 states…Whether it is Goa or Northeast, where the number of Christians is decisively high, NDA has got the opportunity to serve in those states as well.”
