The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a victory parade in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to celebrate Team India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup in Barbados.

After being stranded in Barbados for three days due to a hurricane, the Indian men’s cricket team is scheduled to arrive in Delhi on Thursday.

The celebratory parade will take place at Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium, commemorating India’s victory with a score of 176/7 in their 20 overs.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced the parade marking the event for July 4th at 5 pm in Mumbai. This event mirrors the 2007 victory parade held when Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led India to their first T20 championship.

Also, Skipper Rohit Sharma has invited the fans to join the celebrations.

The Men in Blue have embarked on their journey to Delhi, leaving Grantley Adams International Airport on an Air India special charter flight AIC24WC. The flight, which departed at approximately 4:50 am local time, is expected to reach the Indian capital on Thursday around 6:20 am.

Upon their return, Rohit Sharma and his team will be honoured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
