Today, at least seven family members were killed and ten others injured when a van fell into a ravine in the Haripur district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The rescue service informed the media that the accident occurred early in the morning as the passenger van was negotiating a sharp turn and tumbled into a gorge, leading to fatalities and injuries.
Rescue teams, upon notification, promptly arrived at the location and transported the victims to a hospital. The rescue service noted that the majority of the injured are in critical condition.
The rescue service confirmed that all individuals in the van were from the same family.
It is reported that the passengers in the van were returning from a wedding ceremony in the Swabi Maira area of Haripur district to Islamabad’s airport.
