Nabarangpur: An 8-year-old boy died on the spot and his father sustained critical injuries after an ambulance hit their bicycle on the National highway near Mahendri village under Dabugaon police limits in Nabarangpur district on Saturday.
As per reports, a speeding ambulance hit the bicycle while the father-son duo were crossing the road. The son died on the spot and his father was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
Angry people have blocked the road demanding compensation. Meanwhile, police reached the scene and handled the situation.
