NEET-UG Paper Leak: CBI Arrests Two More People from Bihar – N.F Times


New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday arrested two more people, including a candidate from Patna, Bihar, in relation to the suspected NEET-UG entrance exam paper leak.

NEET-UG candidate Sunny from Nalanda and Ranjit Kumar’s father, hailing from Gaya, are among the latest arrests, as per news reports.

To date, the CBI has detained eight individuals in the Bihar NEET-UG paper leak case, one each for alleged tampering in Latur and Godhra, Gujarat, and another in Dehradun for a broader conspiracy. Officials report that the total arrests in this case have now reached eleven.

Furthermore, on Monday, the CBI arrested a man from Latur, Maharashtra, linked to the NEET paper leak case. Identified as Nanjune Dhppa, he allegedly claimed he could increase students’ marks for money.

Previously, on Monday, the Supreme Court acknowledged the compromise of the NEET-UG exam conducted on May 5 due to a paper leak and has asked the National Testing Agency (NTA) to report on the steps taken to identify the candidates who benefited from the paper leak.
