Trump Challenges US Prez Biden for A New Debate & Golf Match – N.F Times

Donald Trump, the Republican presumptive nominee for president, has given two challenges for his opponent, incumbent President Joe Biden, to engage in a debate this week and for a round of golf.

Trump expressed confidence following his initial debate performance against the president last month. Trump proposed a one-on-one debate without moderators or restrictions.

“I’m officially offering Biden (81) the chance to redeem himself before the whole world,” Trump (78) declared at a Florida campaign rally.

“Let’s have another debate this week, so that ‘sleepy’ Joe Biden can demonstrate to the world his presidential capabilities,” he added.

Following a lacklustre performance at the June 27 presidential debate in Atlanta, Biden faced calls from within his own party to withdraw from the race, which he has refused.

At the same rally, Trump issued a challenge to Biden saying, “I’m also officially challenging Joe to an 18-hole golf match right here”.

Trump promised to donate USD 1 million to a charity of Biden’s choosing if he wins. However, he doubted that Biden would accept the challenge.

The Biden Campaign has declined both challenges.

“Joe Biden doesn’t have time for Donald Trump’s strange antics; he’s occupied with leading America and defending the free world,” stated Biden-Harris 2024 spokesperson James Singer.
