Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep grief and condolences to the bereaved families after a bus from Hyderabad to Gaya met with an accident at Baripada today in which 3 people lost their lives and 6 others were seriously injured.
The Chief Minister has ordered ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of each deceased person.
CM Majhi has directed the Mayurbhanj District Collector to provide proper free medical treatment to the injured and wished for their speedy recovery.
A bus carrying around 23 pilgrims from Hyderabad collided with a truck on NH 18 near Budhikhamar chhak in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Saturday. The accident resulted in the deaths of three people and left several others injured. The injured were admitted to Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital in Baripada for treatment.
