Bhubaneswar: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has nominated 14 members, including Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda and Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab among others, for the Parliament’s Business Advisory Committee.
The committee, which is effective from July 18, will be chaired by the Speaker himself.
The Centre will be introducing six new bills, including one to amend the disaster management law, during the upcoming monsoon session from July 22 to August 12. Besides the Finance Bill, the government will present the Bhartiya Vayuyan Vidheyak, 2024, to replace the Aircraft Act of 1934 to provide enabling provisions for ease of doing business in the civil aviation sector.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is slated to introduce the budget on July 23.
