Twelve Coaches of Freight Train Derails in UP’s Amroha – N.F Times


Uttar Pradesh: A freight train derailed in the Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. No injuries have been reported from the site of the incident so far.

The incident took place days after the derailment of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express train in UP’s Gonda. The incident has disrupted the Lucknow-Delhi train route, with locals also converging at the site.

As per reports, approximately 12 compartments of a freight train derailed in the Kalyanpura area of Amroha. Senior officials were dispatched to the scene upon receiving the news.

At least 10-12 coaches of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed on Thursday, near the Jhilahi Railway Station in the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. The train, numbered 15904, was travelling from Chandigarh to Dibrugarh in Assam. The derailment resulted in at least three fatalities and 30 injuries.

The locomotive driver of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express reported hearing a loud explosion just before the derailment of several coaches in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda on Thursday. The precise cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
