Rasol: A youth was shot dead by unidentified miscreants at Nuabag in Hindol police station of Dhenkanal district on Monday.
The deceased youth has been identified as Subash Sahu (22) of Mahalunda Panchayat within Balimi police station limits in the Hindol block of the district. It is suspected that the murder was a fallout of political or past enmity.
According to police sources, when the assailants were feeling on a bike, the local people managed to apprehend one person, who is yet to be identified, while the other accused escaped and efforts are to nab him.
