The Indian men’s archery team secured direct qualification into the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics 2024 thanks to a superb 3rd-place finish in the overall men’s team rankings.

In the ranking round, the Indian trio of Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav scored a total of 2013 points to secure the third position.

Dhiraj Bommadevara and Tarundeep Rai delivered composed performances across 72 shots, securing a strong position for the Indian team in the eagerly awaited Paris Olympics.

Dhiraj Bommadevara, initially ranked 11th, made a remarkable comeback to finish fourth, despite a drop to the 40s in the early stages of the first half.

Tarundeep Rai also shone, taking advantage of his opportunities to finish 14th. However, India’s third archer, Pravin Jadhav, did not fare as well, ending up in the 39th position.
