Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported the formation of a low-pressure area over the northern Bay of Bengal and the adjacent coastal regions of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal on Friday.
According to the weather update, a cyclonic circulation reaching up to 7.6 km above mean sea level, which tilts southwestwards with height, is likely to move west-northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand in the next two days.
Nonetheless, the weather office has not issued any forecasts concerning the possible effects of the low-pressure system on Odisha.
