Dambulla: India clinched a decisive 10-wicket triumph over Bangladesh at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla on Friday, earning a place in the ninth Women’s Asia Cup final.

Pacer Renuka Thakur was instrumental from the start, claiming three wickets in the Powerplay and restricting Bangladesh to 80/8 in the first semifinal. Renuka’s outstanding four-over spell concluded with figures of 4-1-10-3, complemented by Radha Yadav’s three vital wickets.

During the chase, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma breezed to the target in less than 11 overs, with Mandhana notching a masterful half-century.

Despite Bangladesh captain Sultana’s brave stand, frequent wicket losses stalled her team’s momentum after opting to bat first against Harmanpreet Kaur’s strong team.
