Sambalpur: Mo Bus services in Sambalpur were affected as the drivers and conductors of the public transport bus service launched a protest on Sunday.
The drivers and other staff alleged that Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) management has turned a deaf ear to their plight.
“The drivers and conductors of the public transport service have also threatened to continue the protest for an indefinite period if their demands are not met at the earliest.
“As many as 25 buses are plying on four routes in the city. Unfortunately, if any kind of mishap takes place while driving, the management never helps us. Rather, they direct us to deal with the problem on our own,” said a protesting driver of Mo Bus services.
Another driver accused the management of being least concerned about their plight and said “The depot manager is not bothered about what we go through. He is suspending many of us without any valid reason.”
Surprisingly, there is no specific stoppage for Mo Bus in the city. So, we are facing the wrath of the public for boarding and de-boarding passengers at random places on the roads,” another driver alleged.
