The State Government today ordered an inquiry by the Member, Board of Revenue into the Chikiti Hooch tragedy.
At least five people died after consuming illicit country liquor in the Chikiti Police Station area of Ganjam district, on August 1, 2024.
The inquiry will investigate the causes of the tragedy, identify responsible persons, and recommend measures to prevent future incidents. The report is to be submitted within two months from the date of publication.
